The Fourth Annual Williamsburg Film Festival, comprised of 57 films from over 4 continents, will take place at IndieScreen (285 Kent Avenue, Williamsburg, NY 11211) between November 21st and November 24th, 2013. From a documentary about Chicken Wings to GIRLS eating Street Lobster, from Jerome Robbins’ choreography shining in its natural setting, to the brutality lurking in the shadows of old school Williamsburg, to the soaring inspiration offered by one talented teacher in a Brooklyn Public School, our Festival truly has something for everyone.
The mission of the Williamsburg Independent Film Festival is to nurture and celebrate new and independent film makers in the mecca of hipster and progressive culture., Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The Williamsburg Independent Film Festival welcomes filmmakers with unique stories to tell and aims to deliver their works to the most diverse, sophisticated community of cinephiles in the world: the people of New York City – with Williamsburg, Brooklyn as one of its most energetic centers. The Williamsburg Independent Film Festival serves as a destination for audiences to be enlightened, enriched and inspired by new film art.

An adaptation of Walt Curtis’s poem, “The Time The Drunk Came To Town And Got Drunker Than A Skunk, or So He Thought.”, about a Cowboy town that torments the local drunk.
A dramatic short set in the world of aerial performance and dance, ‘Splendor’ is a story of love, loss, dreams, and fear.
NY EXPORT: OPUS JAZZ
Shot on location in New York City, NY Export: Opus Jazz takes Jerome Robbins’ 1958 ‘ballet in sneakers’ and reimagines it for a new generation in this feature-length scripted adaptation. Starring an ensemble cast of New York City Ballet dancers and shot on 33mm. There will be a Q&A with Choreographer Justin Peck after the screening.
