Greetings IndieNYC readers! We want to let you know that we’ve partnered with Candy Factory Distribution, an exciting new production and distribution company based here in NYC, on a student writing contest based around their new film ‘The Sublime and Beautiful.’
On October 3rd through the 9th, the film will be screening at Hollywood’s Arena Cinema at 1625 North Las Palmas Avenue, Hollywood , CA 90028. The best written composition will be published on IndieNYC.
To enter, the participants must attend an LA screening and take a photo of their ticket stub. Tweet out that picture using the handles @SublimeBeaut and @Indie_Holly, as well as the hashtag #SublimeReviews, then submit a review of the film over at Candy Factory’s tumblr. DON”T FORGET to include the #IndieNYC in your Tumblr post.
The deadline to submit is October 10th. The victor will be chosen by IndieNYC on October 14th, and the winning review will be published on the site.
‘The Sublime and Beautiful’ is a gorgeous, meditative drama about a husband and wife recovering from the death of their children.

In addition, the submission that garners most “likes” on tumblr. will receive the title of “Fan Favorite,” and a mention on IndieNYC. So the sooner you submit your piece, the more time you’ll have to build up likes. It’s entirely possible for the contest winner and the Fan Favorite to be one and the same—it’s anyone’s game, folks.
This is a great opportunity for students to get their writing out there, so don’t miss out. Be sure to follow our Twitter feed for any updates.
