Genart announced today that actor and Genart alumni, Bryan Greenberg; CEO and Founder of Verge, & co-founder of WireImage, Jeff Vespa; Director of the upcoming film Kill Your Darlings, John Krokidas; and Senior Editor at New York Magazine’s Vulture, Kyle Buchanan will make up the jury for the 18th Annual Genart Film Festival taking place in New York on October 3-6, 2013 @ AMC Loews Village VII. GAFF, known as one of New York’s most celebrated film festivals, is taking on a new format this year showcasing 8 short films and 8 feature films over a 4-day weekend.
The jury members will select the Grand Jury Awards for Best Feature and Best Short Film, Male and Female Stargazer Awards, Costume Design Award, Directing Award, Cast Collaboration Award and Score Award. The awards ceremony will take place on October 6, following the closing night film premiere.

The 2013 Jurors
Bryan Greenberg recently starred as the lead in the independent feature A Short History of Decay, alongside Harris Yulin and Linda Lavin. Previous to that he starred in The Kitchen opposite Laura Prepon and Dreama Walker, a film directed by Ishai Setton and written by Jim Beggarly. In addition to acting, Bryan is an accomplished singer, songwriter and musician. Bryan’s songs have been placed on “Unscripted”, “Nobel Son” and “October Road.”
Jeff Vespa is the CEO and Founder of Verge, a new digital magazine that focuses on new and emerging talent. He is also one of the co-founders of WireImage, the largest entertainment photo agency in the world, as well as a Genart alumni. His photography has been featured in numerous publications including Vanity Fair, New York Times, Vogue, Wall Street Journal, Elle, InStyle and People Magazine.
John Krokidas is a writer and director making his feature directorial debut this year with his film Kill Your Darlings. He has written and directed various other films including, Shame No More which has played at over seventy film festivals around the world and SLO-MO, chosen as one of Sundance Film Festival’s 20th Anniversary Best of the Fest.
Kyle Buchanan is a senior editor at New York Magazine’s Vulture. Buchanan has held staff positions at Movieline and The Advocate and has contributed to magazines including GQ, Glamour, Details, and Cosmopolitan in addition to discussing pop culture for outlets like CNN, 20/20, NPR, and E!
